Justice Cohen demands disclosure of disease data - 21st January is D Day for BC salmon farmers!
In a ruling today (8th December), Justice Cohen has demanded that the BC salmon farming industry disclose 10 years of disease data for 120 farms - by 21st January 2011.

In October, the BCSFA released 5 years of data for only 21 farms to the Cohen Commission:

In response to the ruling, Batman said:
"Justice Cohen must be applauded for shining a light on the dark secrets of this disease-ridden industry. The Superheroes 4 Salmon look forward to the opening of the can of worms that is B.C. salmon farming and we would hope that more disease records prior to 2000 come out in the wash during the Cohen Commission."
Captain Condom said:
"The BCSFA need now to come clean with respect to infectious diseases and rise to the occasion by releasing data by 21st January. The industry needs to take a hard-line stance on disease protection and that means adopting closed containment technology."
